I LOVE THE SMELL OF VARNISH IN THE MORNING
Is Print where good words go to die? That may be the prevailing wisdom, but we think recent news of the end of Print is premature. What is the lifespan of a blog? Or, the longevity of a tweet? Printed communications has a gravity and permanence that, despite its power, new media may never achieve. Think about it. Which feels better: A $100 bill in a birthday card, or an email alerting you that your grandparents just transferred $100 into your account? While electronic paper may be around the corner, Print reaches people on a tactile level that a computer screen simply can’t reproduce. Unless, of course, you tape a hundred dollar bill to it.
